Gregor Vagner, known as Greggy to his friends, isn’t just another guy working a day job. By trade, Greggy is a salesman, but when the workday ends, his true passion takes center stage: music. His dream, to become a rockstar, has been a driving force in his life for as long as he can remember. While the journey has had its fair share of challenges, Greggy has always been determined to follow his dream, no matter what.
For Greggy, music isn’t just a hobby—it’s an expression of who he is. Over the years, he’s channeled his love for rock ‘n’ roll into a solo musical project under the name Ticket To The Universe, creating raw and powerful music that speaks to his passion for the genre. His latest release, a six-song EP titled “Beauty And The Beast,” captures the essence of his rock influences while showcasing his unique voice and approach to songwriting.
A One-Man Rock Band: Crafting “Beauty And The Beast”
One of the most remarkable aspects of Greggy’s music is that he’s truly a one-man band. On “Beauty And The Beast,” Greggy played almost every instrument himself. He sings, plays rhythm and lead guitar, and handles the bass guitar as well. While he collaborated with a drummer for the EP’s beats, the rest of the work—recording, mixing, and final production—was done entirely by Greggy.
For him, this hands-on approach was necessary. After years of playing in various rock bands that ultimately didn’t work out, Greggy made the bold decision to take full control of his music. “I’ve been in so many bands, but none of them really stuck,” he explains. “Somewhere along the way, I always gave up, or things just fell apart.” He looks back on those times with a mix of regret and learning, admitting that, at times, he lacked the confidence to push forward when things got tough.
But through that experience, Greggy discovered something invaluable: the importance of never giving up. His journey taught him that success in music, much like in life, is about perseverance and staying true to yourself. “You should never, ever give up in life. Follow your dreams forever!” he emphasizes, a lesson that has become central to his artistic identity.
The Sounds of “Beauty And The Beast”

“Beauty And The Beast“ is a six-track EP that pulls inspiration from some of Greggy’s biggest musical influences, particularly Guns N’ Roses and Oasis. The EP’s sound is unapologetically rooted in classic rock, with plenty of riffs, raw vocals, and gritty energy that harks back to the heyday of rock ‘n’ roll. But while it pays homage to his idols, it’s also deeply personal, showcasing the blend of musicality and emotion that Greggy brings to his work.
The title of the EP, “Beauty And The Beast,” reflects the balance of hard and soft elements within the music. There’s a contrast between the raw, powerful energy of rock and the more vulnerable, emotional side that Greggy explores in his songwriting. This duality is at the heart of his creative process, allowing him to connect with his listeners on multiple levels.
Greggy admits that while six songs might seem short, it was a deliberate choice. “I wanted to keep it short and sweet,” he says, believing that it’s better to leave the audience wanting more than to overwhelm them. The EP is an introduction to his world—a snapshot of his journey as a solo artist and a taste of what’s to come. The Road from Fan to Rockstar
Greggy’s love for rock ‘n’ roll began at a young age, but one moment, in particular, stands out. He vividly remembers skipping school one day and heading home to listen to Guns N’ Roses’ album Appetite For Destruction. “It blew me away,” he recalls. That experience changed everything, sparking a passion for music that has stayed with him ever since.
As his love for music deepened, Greggy found inspiration not just in the sound, but in the lifestyle. He looked up to icons like Liam Gallagher of Oasis, who once famously said, “Live every day like a rockstar.” Greggy took those words to heart. “Right now, I’m living like a rockstar every day,” he says proudly. For him, rock ‘n’ roll is more than just a genre—it’s a way of life, and one that he’s fully committed to.
Looking Ahead: What’s Next for Greggy?
With “Beauty And The Beast“ now out in the world, Greggy is far from done. This EP is just the beginning of what he hopes will be a long and fulfilling career in music. He’s already thinking ahead to future projects, eager to continue exploring new sounds and refining his craft.
Though his journey has been marked by setbacks, Greggy remains optimistic about what lies ahead. He’s living proof that with determination, passion, and a little bit of rockstar spirit, anything is possible. For now, he’s focused on enjoying the ride and making the most of every opportunity that comes his way.
Gregor Vagner’s story is one of resilience, creativity, and an unwavering belief in the power of dreams. As he continues to pursue his passion for music, he hopes to inspire others to do the same—to follow their own dreams and never give up, no matter the obstacles. And with Ticket To The Universe, Greggy is well on his way to making his rockstar dreams a reality.
We had the privilege of interviewing Gregor Vagner. Here are excerpts from the interview.
Hi Gregor, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share about your latest EP, Beauty And The Beast, with our readers.
Hi, My profession is a salesman, but I’ve got other plans. My dream is to be a fucking Rockstar! My music is proper Rock n’ Roll. My latest EP, Beauty And The Beast, is heavily influenced by Guns n’ Roses. It consists of 6 songs. I know what you’re going to say: that’s not a whole lot, right? But I decided to keep it short and sweet.
Please tell us about your journey.
My journey is such a long story. But I’m going to try and keep it short. I’ve played in several rock bands straight on from my teenage years. But it never worked out. And I only have myself to blame. Somewhere along the way, I always gave up. I guess I didn’t have the balls to go all the way and get my prize in the end. I learned never to give up in life, but it was too late then. None of the guys wanted to play in a band with me anymore. But the dream, my dream is still alive, so I decided to do it all on my own. And here is the result, this EP. When I was in high school, I decided to skip class. So I went home, smoked a fucking joint, and listened to Appetite For Destruction by Guns n’ Roses. It fucking blew me away. And still, to this day, they are my idols, all of them. They and Oasis showed me the way; they showed me how it’s done. Liam Gallagher once said that you should live every day like a fucking Rockstar. And I took his advice. And right now, I’m living like a fucking Rockstar every day. Cause you can’t fake Rock n’ Roll. You know that it’s real the moment your music sounds fucking amazing.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
I’ve been successful in a way that I got much better at music throughout the years. Singing, man, that’s what I most had to get good at. But I still don’t consider myself a great singer. I’m average. And as for musical success in the world, maybe considering the music industry, I still haven’t had it. I really don’t know what I have to do for my music to just magically blow up in the entire world.
Any message for our readers?
No matter what you do and no matter what you want to do in life, never give up. Never give up on your dreams, and keep on fighting till the end. You’re beautiful, you’re loved. Thank you!
Thank you so much, Gregor, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
