Dive into Aerakii’s Sonic Revolution with Album ‘Journey To The Main Stage (Festival Edition)’

Aerakii’s Festival Odyssey: A Vibrant 19-Track EDM Saga

Aerakii, the alias of South African DJ and producer Jeetesh B., has unveiled his debut masterpiece, Journey To The Main Stage (Festival Edition). Spanning 19 tracks, this album pulses with the spirit of festival life—euphoric drops, emotive melodies, and an unrelenting energy that demands movement. On Spotify and Apple Music now, Aerakii’s latest offers a bold reawakening, marking the shift from Funky J SA to a fully realized creative force.

Rising from Durban

Aerakii

Jeetesh’s journey began in Durban, where city sounds and seaside breezes shaped his musical DNA. As Funky J SA, he mastered club residencies and lit up stages at Dusk Til Dawn and Summerfest, serenading crowds with infectious beats. But beneath the flashing lights and roaring applause, he felt restless. He sensed a deeper story waiting to emerge. That was the spark for Aerakii—a fresh identity reflecting growth, freedom, and artistic truth. He traded established routines for openness to discovery; he embraced risk.

This transformation didn’t happen overnight. It came from late-night studio sessions in Cape Town apartments and long drives along coastal highways, where new ideas took root. Aerakii represents those crossroads—where past achievements meet future ambitions.

A Festival-Ready Soundscape

Journey To The Main Stage (Festival Edition) feels like a live set captured in audio form. From the opening heartbeat of “Sunrise Anthem” to the closing whispers of “Afterglow Dream,” each song guides you through peaks and valleys. There’s power in the basslines—tracks built to fill open-air venues. There’s tenderness in the synths—moments that invite reflection.

Aerakii collaborated with an array of vocal talents. These voices add human warmth to robust electronic frameworks. Listeners find themselves lost in massive crescendos one moment… and enchanted by fragile harmonies the next. The interplay between club-ready hooks and cinematic textures makes this album feel alive—an evolving soundscape that adapts to every listener’s mood.

Building Bridges with Bass and Melody

Aerakii

At its core, Aerakii’s music is about connection. He writes and produces every note, insisting on authenticity. Tracks like “Heartbeat Collective” invite crowds to sync their steps. Tunes such as “Echoes Within” peel back layers of emotion, proving EDM can be both visceral and introspective.

The album’s sequencing mirrors a festival arc: the anticipation of arrival, the thrill of discovery, the emotional release, and the wistful journey home. Aerakii’s meticulous arrangement ensures each transition feels organic. He doesn’t rely on gimmicks. He trusts musical narrative to carry listeners forward.

South African influences remain woven into the tapestry. Rhythmic patterns echo township grooves. Atmospheric pads recall coastal sunsets. Yet there’s a universal quality—something that resonates whether you’re dancing under African skies or European spotlights.

Charting a Global Path

Aerakii

Now based in Cape Town, Aerakii eyes the world stage. He dreams of headlining Ultra Music Festival, inspiring thousands to raise their hands in unison. This ambition drives every late-night mix and every track refinement. He’s joined forces with freelance producers and vocalists across continents, eager to expand his sonic palette.

His creative process is both disciplined and spontaneous. He sketches ideas on guitar, then translates them into electronic blueprints. He tests new sounds in live sets, noting crowd reactions. He cultivates community—fans become collaborators, sharing feedback that shapes final mixes.

Aerakii’s next steps include remix collaborations, festival appearances, and a planned European tour. Each move aligns with his mission: to ignite dancefloors and forge emotional bonds through sound.

The Next Beat Awaits

With Journey To The Main Stage (Festival Edition) out in the world, Aerakii has set the bar high—for himself and the EDM landscape. His debut is an invitation: to feel raw energy, to embrace inner reflections, to join a festival family that spans borders and backgrounds.

Every track echoes a chapter in Jeetesh’s ongoing story. The album celebrates reinvention, resilience, and the boundless potential of a single beat. Aerakii’s evolution from Funky J SA to visionary producer mirrors the album’s arc—from familiar grounds to uncharted horizons.

This is the beginning of a vibrant saga. Press play, step into the rhythm, and let Aerakii guide you toward the mainstage of your own musical journey.

We had the privilege of interviewing Aerakii. Here are excerpts from the interview.

Hi, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.

Hey! I’m Aerakii, a DJ and music producer based in South Africa. My sound blends euphoric progressive house, emotional melodies, and mainstage festival energy. Before this project, I was known as Funky J SA, performing across clubs and festivals in South Africa — but Aerakii is my full creative rebirth.

Please tell us about your music album.

I’ve just released my debut album titled Journey to the Main Stage (Festival Edition). It’s a 19-track story of reinvention, resilience, and raw energy — no label, no shortcuts. This is me pouring everything into a sound that belongs on a festival stage. From high-energy anthems to emotional builds and club-ready drops, it’s a mix of who I was, who I am, and where I want to go.

Please share your journey with our readers.

I grew up in Durban and spent years DJing under the name Funky J SA. I played legendary stages like Dusk Til Dawn and Summerfest, held over a dozen residencies, and headlined various outdoor events. But after stepping away from music for a while, I came back with a new purpose — and a new identity: Aerakii. This album is me reclaiming my sound, redefining my path, and dreaming bigger than ever. I also wouldn’t have made it to this point without my wife and son, who’ve been my biggest supporters behind the scenes. They’ve stood by me through the quiet years and the late-night studio sessions — this album is just as much theirs as it is mine.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

The biggest one? Do it yourself and don’t wait for permission. I produced all my tracks independently, built my brand from scratch, and crafted my entire rollout without a label or manager. Another key: consistency. Not just in music, but in storytelling, visuals, and energy. Every track, every post, every move had to reflect the dream — to one day play on the Ultra mainstage.

Any message for our readers?

Whatever you’re chasing — do it with intention. Don’t wait for validation, don’t wait for a big break. Build your own stage. Journey to the Mainstage wasn’t backed by a team — it was built on belief, late nights, emotion, and hard drops. If you’ve got a sound, a vision, or a dream — push it. People will feel it.

Thank you so much, Aerakii, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
