Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Amina Lewis. Born in Marietta, GA, she is an entrepreneur specializing in Image and Brand development. She is the owner of a streetwear clothing line under the name Mina Nekay. She has always been attracted to the beauty and fashion industry. She founded her brand when she was only 22 years old!

Please tell us more about your journey.
I started off in high school dreaming of being a celebrity cosmetologist. I’ve always been in love with assisting people with a confidence booster. I was a high school student excelling in my academics alongside, taking a cosmetology course. By the time I was 18, I graduated with my diploma alongside graduating my cosmetology course and obtaining my license.
Shortly after, I decided to enroll in college for business management, hoping to learn more about entrepreneurship. After that journey, I decided to get certified in fashion studies and learn more about the design process. From there, the rest was history! I’ve worked with countless public figures, celebrities, fashion week, publications, etc.!
Please tell us about your brand Mina Nekay.
I work closely with entertainers and Public figures to create a jaw-dropping persona for my client that will transform the way the public eye views them, for the better.
My streetwear line is specifically made to express the important messages that I’d like to get across while utilizing my artistic ability.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Networking, following my intuition, and not being afraid of risk-taking!
