Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Ehren Muhammad, Host of The Ambition Show podcast, and Founder of EMPro, Ltd. The Ambition Show is the platform for those that have that burning desire to reach their goals.
Let us know about your passion, and why did you choose this field?
My passion is storytelling and creating things. So, while in business school, I was trying to figure out what field I could combine my love to create (write, draw, and tell stories) and my enjoyment for business. One marketing class opened my world, and I have never looked back. Primarily, because I figured out that the main instrument of a business that generates revenue is its marketing and if the business cannot brand itself effectively with story, design, and audience identification, then one's business will struggle and fail.
Great, What has been one of the most exciting achievements of your career so far?
Starting and selling a business. I proved to myself that I can do it. No venture capital, no investors, only me and my former business partner. We created an e-commerce apparel brand, and when I knew it was time to go, I successfully sold it.

What's the biggest factor that has helped you be successful?
Focusing on my strengths, respecting the areas that are not my strengths, and collaborating to accomplish goals. As soon as I stopped trying to be a 1-man army, I started getting so much accomplished and was able to help others do the same.
What are your success habits?
I make a decision, I don't linger. Either I will do it or I won't, but I make that decision strategically because I track my workload. I read a great book that helped me understand how my fears and procrastination were holding me back. Sometimes you have to get out of your own way. The book was “The 5 Second Rule” by Mel Robbins.
What mistakes have you made along the way?
Paralysis by analysis had bitten me in the butt many times when I first started out. Now, I get the idea or have the task on my calendar, I just get it done.

What does your typical day look like?
Prayer in the morning, then some type of exercise, either yoga or bodyweight training. Then from there, I just start knocking tasks off of my list one by one. I make a schedule and stick to it, so my goals get my undivided attention.
What was the hardest decision you ever had to make?
Knowing when to let go of a venture that I was no longer passionate about.

What is the best advice you would like to give?
A closed mouth does not get fed, pursue what you desire, and enjoy the journey.
What is your favorite quote?
A closed mouth doesn't get fed
What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning?
Making my dreams a reality. Helping other ambitious people reach their goals.
