Today we are interviewing Catherine Corona. She is a songwriter, author, director, and meditation practitioner. In a candid chat, she talks about her musical journey and inspiration behind her latest album ‘The Voice of The Stillness'.

1. Catherine, Please tell us about yourself.

I am called Ramalla, born with the name Catherine Corona. Its a little crazy to have the last name Corona right now, yet Corona means “crown of Light.” It is the radiant Light and Sound of Creation, which draws my life into its center and into its Love.

Teachers of all shapes and sizes found me along the trails of my life, simply by living near them– from the President of The Theosophical Society to the Lakota Medicine man Archie Fire Lame Dear, to The Sufi Teacher Rashad Field to the Mystic John-Roger…I have been well trained in Meditation Practices, World Religions, and the Mystic Love of The Creator.

My music and My new album, “The Voice of The Stillness” also found me by singing in my inner ears so loudly. And so constantly, I had to record it just to find its completion…oh but now there is another one singing to me…again.

My life is a dance to the songs that are always singing inside.

2. Please tell us more about your journey?

My journey has been productive and full, and much of it a hard, sweaty climb up a steep and beautiful mountain that tested my limits and always. I made it to the summit…so far…

3. Who are your role models?

My Role models are the Illuminated Spiritual Teacher John-Roger, and Dr. Mary Hulnick, the embodiment of loving compassion and empathy.

4. What inspires you?

Inspiration itself inspires me, so I meditate and contemplate Divine Inspiration itself until the embodiment of inspiration engulfs me, and I come into the state of being of inspiration.

Great paintings and art; any DiVinci Painting inspires me, Lakota sweat lodge songs inspire me, Hindu chants inspire me. Guru Nanak of the 15th Century inspires me.

5. What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

Intention, Awareness, practicing stillness, and taking small steps in action in a disciplined and intentional way…and then forgiveness when I mess up…changing course without judgment and the most significant key—acceptance of all people, situations, and circumstances, especially all aspects of myself.

6. What keeps you going when things get tough?

When things get tough, I practice gratefulness as an intentional, purposeful direction. When things get tough, I face those things head-on in acceptance and look for the learning, growth, and expansion.
When things get tough, I comfort and nourish those parts of my being that need it until anxiety, concern, anger is transformed into loving and peace…and every disturbance does turn back into each of our true nature—Goodness.

7. Any message for our readers?

My message to your readers is that all the wisdom, loving, and guidance is inside them. There is a vast and infinite stillness in which all is well, all is good, and everything is born of Love.

8. How can people connect with you?
