Have you ever struggled with not being able to sleep at night? Yup, it has happened with me several times.
Just the other day, I was browsing through the latest cool songs on youtube, and I stumbled across this great piece of music that talks about insomnia (Inability to sleep). The moment I saw the video and listened to the single, I thought to myself. The music is so great. I ought to write about this on my blog so that more people can tune in to such excellent music.
Even the video of “Insomnia” is completely in sync with the musical message of the track. Those people who have experienced insomnia at any point of their life can actually relate to the song very well. Check it out below:
You know there are some songs that you can just listen to on repeat mode. This is one of them. It is a must-listen!
Guess what, I was not able to sleep the same night and was singing the song again!
Artist Oh Well's – Insomnia
Oh Well is a one-piece contemporary EDM project based in Chicago, Illinois.
By the way, if you don't know what EDM means. EDM is popular music intended for dancing to in the clubs, generally having repetitive beats and a cool track.
Oh well is the Artist. Their latest Extended Play “Insomnia,” has been released along with an entertaining music video. It captures the irritation and stress of struggling to sleep at night. The song is available on most major platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify.
Here is the link to their EP (Extended Play):
The track captures the frustration and anxiety of struggling to sleep at night, creating an evocative soundscape, at times hypnotic, which fits perfectly with the delivery of the song.
Thanks to a musical construction that uses both repetitions and variations, “Insomnia” is a particularly amazing and eccentric piece, which creates an aloof atmosphere.
The repetitive nature of the bass groove and the verses is the perfect way to convey the overall theme of the song. It is enhanced by a tinted melody with an appealing pop hook and a memorable chorus.
You know, the meticulous attention to the detail of the song brings it to an even higher level of denseness. In fact, it further intensifies the track's ability to become irresistible to the listener.
Overall, I really appreciate the Artist and the production team for creating such a phenomenal song.
In this lockdown during Coronavirus, I am listening to it on repeat mode as of now. What about you?
