Today, we are interviewing Maximilian Schmidt, a professional DJ for electronic genres.
Please tell us something about yourself.
I love to follow my passion and make people dance with my unique set. I am very popular in Germany, but I do have a lot of fans in the United States, too!
How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey.
Since I was a kid, I felt a special connection to music. There were only a few years from buying my first CD to play my first gig. I was 15 years old then. From that point, I started to follow my dream and get consistently better and more popular. Today I am a well-known DJ and producer who loves to spread happiness with his own songs!
What is your newest release?
My latest release is called “Moving” which is an emotive Tech-House track. It‘s a symbol of the fast going time right now. I just wanted to spread some hope, and that’s why I made a song with quite a new style. But there will also come a harder and also motivational track very soon!
Tell us more about your upcoming release.
My new song “Neverland” is a symbiosis of saxophone and Trance. It combines the best elements from both, and firstly reminds a little bit of blues. But within a few seconds, the listener will recognize that this song is a very unique Trance-style Track. I created a very powerful, strong, and motivational sound. The release date is the 29th of May. You can hear it in every big store.
What is your dream?
I know where I come from, and I know exactly where I want to go. It is my dream to play at every big festival and make people happy all around the world! I try to give positive impacts on my career by publishing my own original stuff. Hopefully, my hard work pays off someday.
What’s your most memorable experience?
My best memorable experience happened almost two years ago when my best friend had his 18th birthday. It was the biggest private party and most epic birthday ever. I will probably never forget this great night.
What’s your greatest fear?
Luckily I‘m not a very anxious person. I don’t have any fears. For me, it is the most important thing to stay healthy and follow my dreams, no matter how hard it is.
Looking back, what’s one thing you wish you understood better before you ever got started?
I wish I would have learned how to produce music earlier. Looking back, I had a lot of opportunities to present my music to a lot of new people and potential future fans.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
My strategy is to give the best I can every day. Anyone who wants to live their dream has to do a lot of work. No matter whether you are a musician or not.
What keeps you going when things get tough?
My mindset is a vital thing for me. I‘m a positive person, and for me, there are no tough times. I have relaxed times and some times when I have to put more work and effort into my day. Every crisis is a new chance, and that’s why I look positively into the future, just like the current moment with the COVID-19 crisis. Always keep working and never stop following your dreams. As I said, every crisis is a new chance. Take the chance!
