Today we are interviewing Sevy Campos who was born in Arles, in the South of France in 1988. He began to sing and play guitar very early, and was discovered by Nicolas Reyes, lead singer of the famous Gipsy Kings at the age of 7.
1. How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey?
I followed their footsteps all my teenagehood, and I traveled with my guitar across Europe, I lived 5 years in the United Kingdom, and I came back to France before to go to Germany.
I created there a new style of music, blending the gypsy guitar, with modern Pop Electro rhythms.
A modern sound, which is having an enormous success and which is ready to take over the planet.
2. Who are your role models?
Before, I had role models, but since I created my proper style, I tend to not have role models. I don’t need anymore to identify to someone, and I prefer to leave my own trace.
3. What inspires you?
Everything inspires me. Sometimes, inspiration just happens. When you’re least expecting it, you see something or hear something or experience something that moves you deeply. As an artist, I transform things into songs. Also, I wanna change the world. This aim is inspiring me every day, every second.
4. Which social media channels work best for promoting your work? What exactly do you do on the social media channel that makes it work for you?
My presence on social networks is very strong. I am on Facebook, on Twitter, on Youtube, on Instagram, and for a little while on Tik Tok as well. I post songs, videos, photos.
I am engaging my fans every day, and I think this is very important. People nowadays are expecting artists to be very close to them and give them content every day.
My music is also on Spotify and all the other streaming platforms.
5. What’s your greatest fear?
I don’t wanna die without having realized my dreams, and I don’t want regrets.
6. Looking back, what’s one thing you wish you understood better before you ever got started?
Fans want to dream. They want to see an artist that is not like everybody. They don’t wanna cry, they don’t wanna be sad. If people need entertainment, we have to give them. I know songs can’t always be happy ones, but people want to forget for a moment their problems.
I might make mistakes…but that’s my point of view.
7. What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
The only strategy is to have none. To go forward with the intuition, with love, with heart. I signed a few months ago with one of the most prestigious record labels in the world, Bentley Records. And also with Real Music Records and I feel when we have the right team to work with, that’s a real benefit.
8. Any message for our readers
People can contact me and follow on their favorite social network. I make my music for everyone. My music has no borders, no skin color, no social barriers. Whoever they are, they can listen to my music.
9. How can people connect with you?
The best is to follow me on Instagram
