Today, I’m excited to introduce another song that I felt has become very close to my heart. I related to it deeply.
“Silver Edge” has been released recently by Americana Artist Mary McGuinness.
When I listened to the song, it really made me feel something. I really liked some of the lyrics such as:
Run my dear from anything that may clip your budding wings!
Run like hell, my dear, from anyone who puts a knife in your tender heart!
This song reminded me to stay away from people who tried to do wrong to me. And appreciate and be grateful for the good people that I have in my life.
The lyrics of the song are so elegantly crafted. And the instrumentals of the song do justice to the lyrics in a brilliant way.
This song was sparked by Mary McGuinness’s own experiences. It is about the people who are supportive and always have your back. It’s about those people who would walk that extra mile for you and be there for you whenever you need them.
And if there’s no one there, making sure you do it for yourself.
The verse in the song: “I can fight for who I am,” is referring to this.
What we’ve been reminded of during this time of pandemic is that we are all the same. With the same aspirations, desires, and needs for each other.
