Rising Star ‘Dee Martin’ Delivers a Cinematic Debut Album With ‘Nights in the Future’

For Dee Martin, the night holds the possibility of becoming the person he’s imagined. His debut mixtape, ‘Nights in the Future,’ brings that hope into a world of romance, fast living, emotional uncertainty, and the search for connection.

Released on October 16, 2026, the project introduces an artist whose ideas draw from several countries and musical traditions. Across 10 songs and 25 minutes and 22 seconds, Dee explores his vision of life through new age hip hop and R&B. There’s excitement in that vision, alongside the personal questions that follow him into every new experience.

A Nighttime World Full of Possibility

Dee describes the mixtape’s concept as a Hollywood movie that takes place entirely at night. Its setting follows people moving through nightlife, spending time with those they love, and facing the consequences of living fast. Attraction, money, drugs, betrayal, heartbreak, and redemption all belong to this imagined world. Each element contributes to a larger picture of how he once pictured his life unfolding.

At the center is a familiar desire: enjoying life with people who make it feel meaningful. Dee imagines being out with a girl and her friends, caught in the uncertainty of where an evening might lead. Love feels possible. So does disappointment, and that emotional unpredictability gives the concept its underlying tension.

His description also leaves space for the complicated feelings beneath a carefree appearance. Someone can spend an evening laughing while carrying questions about trust, belonging, or the future. That experience connects closely with Dee’s personal outlook. He’s spoken about smiling and making jokes while feeling that life has drained much of his joy, and he hopes listeners will recognize something of themselves in his honesty.

‘Nights’ and ‘Sober’ Bring the Concept Into Focus

Among the mixtape’s songs, Dee identifies ‘Nights’ as the clearest expression of the overall experience. The closing track gathers the project’s central idea into one song, making it a useful starting point for understanding his intentions. Its place at the end of the tracklist also fits the concept of following an evening through its changing moods.

‘Sober,’ which opens the project, addresses the use of drugs as an escape from difficult realities. Dee describes a cycle in which people reach for temporary reassurance while privately panicking about their lives. The subject carries emotional weight. His explanation focuses on the struggle to cope and the fear of being unable to build the future someone wants.

Together, these two songs establish the questions surrounding the mixtape’s nightlife setting. What happens when the fun becomes a way of avoiding pain? How does someone pursue love while feeling uncertain inside? Dee brings those concerns into a project that also includes ‘Masseuse,’ ‘PLM,’ ‘Touch It,’ ‘Marylin Monroe,’ ‘Passenger Princess,’ ‘Spinning,’ and ‘Wrong.’

The release includes producer Sigo2x, with Yungjosh93 appearing as the featured artist on ‘Wicked.’ Those contributions form part of Dee’s first mixtape, a milestone in his ongoing effort to develop his abilities and establish an artistic direction.
