Lawrence is a Chicago-born filmmaker, writer, producer, director, and editor with more than fifteen years of experience behind the camera. He served in the U.S. Army from 1990 to 1998 and later graduated as salutatorian from Full Sail University.
Through Deep Production Studios LLC, Lawrence has developed projects in horror and character-driven drama. His work includes Tobias: Dark Hallway and Pieces of David, which became a Black Harvest Film Festival selection and received a Black Excellence Award nomination. He also served as co-executive producer on the animated horror feature To Your Last Death. The Smell of Blood is his first novel.
