Marcelo Marçal is a nephrologist, entrepreneur, and award-winning author based in São Paulo, Brazil. He lives there with his wife and two children.
Marcelo discovered storytelling at an early age and received literary awards during high school. He later studied at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro before establishing his career in medicine and hospital dialysis. During the global pandemic, a period of reflection renewed his commitment to writing. His second novel, Desconectados, received literary recognition and was later introduced to English-language readers as DISCONNECTED.
