Magic, Mystery, and Romance Unveiled
Nicoleclaire’s freshly revised second edition of “Guardians Of Glyndor: The Disappearing Creatures” offers readers an enchanting blend of magic, mystery, and romance. Released in 2025, this updated edition doesn’t just polish the narrative—it brings entirely new chapters, richer storytelling, striking illustrations, and captivating cover art, elevating the immersive experience.
Central to the tale are Jesse and Emily, two teenagers navigating lives that initially seem worlds apart. Jesse, sixteen and a devoted fan of numbers, uses calculations as his safety net, meticulously counting tiles and measuring probabilities at the café where he works. Numbers bring structure to his unpredictable world. Meanwhile, Emily is swamped by emotional tides—her own and everyone else’s. Her sensitivity leaves her constantly overwhelmed, pressured by society to tone down her innate empathy.
An Invitation to Eldora
Their lives shift dramatically when a mysterious woman with vibrant green hair steps onto the scene, offering Jesse and Emily an invitation they never anticipated. Soon, both teens find themselves at Glyndor, a renowned magical school situated in Eldora—also known as the First Earth. In this magical realm, powers are uniquely tied to individuals, shaped profoundly by their personalities and peculiarities.
Yet, Eldora isn’t the idyllic magical haven it first appears. The world’s magic is dwindling, and stark inequality emerges as the affluent desperately cling to their fading powers. Those stripped of magic—known as the Blanched—fall deeper into despair. Adding to Eldora’s growing instability is the alignment of its three moons, heralding turmoil. Guardians mysteriously disappear, unfamiliar creatures appear, and whispers of a powerful ancient evil become impossible to ignore.
Outsiders Embracing Destiny
In the thick of this chaos, Jesse and Emily’s connection deepens unexpectedly. Drawn together amid mounting danger and uncertainty, their relationship evolves, becoming integral to their journey. The pair face truths about themselves and each other, testing their resilience and courage in ways neither anticipated.
What makes “Guardians Of Glyndor” exceptional is its profound exploration of outsider perspectives. Traits that made Jesse and Emily misfits—Jesse’s numeric obsessions and Emily’s heightened sensitivity—transform into strengths within Eldora. Nicoleclaire masterfully portrays this shift, offering readers a powerful message: there’s strength hidden within the traits society often dismisses as quirks or weaknesses.
The narrative touches on deep themes of identity, belonging, and overcoming marginalization, creating a richly layered reading experience. Readers are immersed in the personal growth and intricate friendships of Jesse and Emily, making their journey relatable and emotionally resonant.

We had the pleasure of speaking with Nicoleclaire, Author of Guardians Of Glyndor. Here are some highlights from our conversation:
Hi, please share about yourself and what your work involves?
Hi! I’m Nicoleclaire, which is the name I write under. I live in Singapore and juggle my day job in advertising while spending every free moment on what I love most: telling stories.
Please share some insights about your book with our readers.
Guardians of Glyndor is really about what happens when the “outsiders” end up being the heroes. Jesse is the kid who sees patterns everywhere. Counting and calculating helps him keep control when the world feels too overwhelming. Emily feels emotions so deeply it is like she is carrying everyone else’s feelings along with her own. One day, they discover Eldora, a hidden dimension where all the things that made them different actually make them powerful. But Eldora has its own problems. Magic is disappearing, society is split between elites and those who have lost their magic, and an ancient event is threatening to tear the world apart. At the heart of it, Guardians of Glyndor is a coming-of-age story about belonging, identity, and trying to find yourself in a system that was never really built for you.
Please share your journey with our readers — how did it all begin?
It was all about taking it one small step at a time. Instead of focusing on the idea of finishing a whole book, I set a simple goal of 600 words a night. It made everything feel a lot more manageable. I also wrote the kind of story I would want to read: something fast-paced with a little bit of mystery, a little romance, and a lot of character growth. The world-building came from everywhere. I pulled inspiration from mythology, scientific theories, and just watching how people behave and interact with the world.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Reading as widely as possible helped more than anything else. One day, I would be deep into old mythologies, and the next, I would be down a rabbit hole about quantum physics. Somehow, all of it ended up shaping Eldora and the story in ways I could not have predicted.
Any message for our readers?
If there is one thing I hope readers take away from Guardians of Glyndor, it is that the parts of you that feel strange or “too much” might actually be the things that make you extraordinary.
