Hi, thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.

My name is Thierno Diallo. I was born in Guinea, lived in Paris, and have been living in the United States since 2009. I currently reside in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I’m a fashion designer, entrepreneur, and author of my first memoir, The Marriage Behind Closed Doors. Through my fashion brand, Thierno Bespoke, I express my creativity, while writing has given me a new way to share my personal experiences.

Please tell us about your journey.

My journey has been filled with love, challenges, and personal growth. After experiencing a difficult marriage, I decided to turn my experiences into a memoir. Writing The Marriage Behind Closed Doors allowed me to reflect, reclaim my voice, and share a story that I believe many people can relate to, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community. It was an emotional process, but also an important part of moving forward.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

Resilience, determination, and believing in myself have been essential. I’ve learned that success isn’t always about professional achievements or financial accomplishments. Sometimes, it’s about finding the courage to start over, staying true to yourself, and refusing to let difficult experiences define your future. My creativity, passion for fashion, and willingness to share my story have helped me keep moving forward.

Never lose yourself trying to hold on to someone else. Love should never require you to sacrifice your self-worth or silence your voice.
