Jennifer has been reading oracle cards since her tween years, when her grandmother introduced her to the Teuila Fortune. Her grandmother also encouraged an appreciation for art, esoterica, and open-minded inquiry. After that formative loss, Jennifer pursued deeper study through dreams, intuition, and a wide variety of spiritual traditions.
Her creative journey has led to mass-market oracle decks with Hachette and Chronicle Prism, as well as translations in French and Russian. Her work has appeared in Cosmopolitan, while her journalism includes bylines in Rolling Stone and SPIN. She also writes fiction that blends literary horror with speculative thrillers, often examining artificial culture, harmful trends, and the human search for meaning.
Over the years, Jennifer has visited sacred places, studied with teachers from different traditions, traveled through Tibet, slept inside the Great Pyramid, and explored several forms of spiritual practice. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, daughter, two cats, and a praying mantis.

Thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.
My name is Jennifer Sodini and I am a writer and creative that has been on a spiritual journey for the vast majority of my life. I learned to read oracle cards when I was very young, I have traveled to some of the most sacred sites of the world, studied with masters and still believe that the universe has a sense of humor and our questions are the answers.
Please tell us about your journey.
My grandmother taught me how to read oracle cards using the Teuila Fortune when I was a tween, she introduced me to art, esoterica and always encouraged me to keep an open mind. Her death was a catalyst for deeper seeking, dreaming and developing my intuition through the study of various spiritual practices. I used to read cards professionally, but in 2014 decided to close that door and focus solely on writing, teaching and creating art.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Staying humble, not taking no for an answer and staying true to my heart even when it gets hard. Paving your own way is not easy, and it requires really tough skin, the important thing I always tell myself (and encourage others) to remember is to do this for the love of it primarily. If you’re coming from that space, every win, every open door, and even every challenge will feel worth it in the long run.
