Soléa is entering a defining season of her artistry, and she is doing it on her own terms. With the release of “Dance With Me,” the first single from her debut EP CHANGES, she invites listeners into a world shaped by groove, confidence, and emotional honesty.
A Fresh Era in Motion
“Dance With Me” feels like stepping into a dimly lit room where anticipation lingers in the air. The track opens with heat already rising. “Fever running so high, I can melt” sets the tone instantly. It is intimate. Direct. Charged with curiosity.
The song captures the electric moment of spotting someone from across the room and wondering what might happen next. There is playfulness in her delivery, yet it carries certainty. She does not hesitate in extending the invitation. “Baby, come and dance with me” becomes both a hook and a declaration. It repeats with purpose, each time layered with subtle variations that keep the energy alive.
The production supports that mood effortlessly. Warm basslines, textured harmonies, and smooth rhythmic pulses create a soundscape rooted in neo-soul with a modern edge. Soléa’s jazz influences glide through her phrasing. Her vocals sit comfortably in the pocket, sometimes floating above the beat, sometimes sinking into it.
Available on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, and SoundCloud, the track marks the official beginning of CHANGES. It signals growth. It signals boldness. Most importantly, it signals ownership.
The Architect of Her Sound
Soléa is not simply the voice behind the record. She is the architect. A multidisciplinary independent artist based in Atlanta, she handles production, writing, mixing, content creation, booking, and band leadership. As a Music major at Spelman College, she balances her studies with hands-on experience, building a career that feels intentional at every level.
Her foundation began early. Years of singing in school choirs shaped her ear and strengthened her confidence. At 13, she began studying piano and later attended Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp to deepen her understanding of the instrument. During the pandemic, she picked up the bass and taught herself through experimentation and practice. That self-driven spirit carried into her freshman year at Spelman, when she began producing her own music.
What started with beat-making evolved into full creative control. Writing, recording, arranging. She learned by doing. That independence is evident in “Dance With Me.” Every element feels connected because she builds her songs from the inside out.
Beyond her artist identity, Soléa works as a sound designer for video games and live productions. She has contributed as an audio artist on The Sims 4 expansion packs including Life & Death, Business & Hobbies, and Adventure Awaits. Crafting immersive audio for interactive worlds has sharpened her sense of atmosphere. She understands how to make a listener feel something without overwhelming them.

Sensuality, Confidence, and Release
“Dance With Me” embraces sensuality without hesitation. Lines like “Give in to temptation” and “I feel it when we’re touching” create a sense of closeness that feels natural rather than forced. The repetition of “thinking about you” mirrors the looping thoughts that come with attraction. It builds tension gradually.
There is freedom in this release. Soléa describes this chapter of her artistry as more mature, queer, and expressive. That growth is present in both the lyrics and the energy of the track. She leans into desire. She allows imagination to lead. The song feels like a celebration of self-assurance.
Last year, she introduced herself to listeners through three singles. This year carries a different weight. It feels grounded. Intentional. A reflection of someone who has let go of outside perception and chosen authenticity instead.
One of the most significant lessons behind her evolution has been accepting that she cannot control how others interpret her work. What matters is creating from a place of truth. That clarity strengthens her presence as an artist.
Recently, she had the opportunity to open for Ari Lennox at Spelman’s SpelHouse Neo-Soul homecoming concert. Sharing that stage connected her to a lineage of neo-soul excellence that influences her sound. It was a moment that affirmed her path.
The Bigger Picture
“Dance With Me” is more than a standalone single. It is the opening statement of CHANGES, a project that promises transformation and exploration. The title itself suggests movement, growth, and evolution. This first release embodies that theme through rhythm and narrative.
The track invites listeners to surrender to the music. To feel the heat. To move closer. It captures a snapshot of attraction in motion and wraps it in smooth instrumentation.
Soléa stands at the intersection of technical skill and emotional storytelling. She produces her own sound. She performs with confidence. She designs audio worlds beyond the stage. Every role she takes on feeds into her artistry.
With “Dance With Me,” she is not asking for permission. She is inviting connection. And as CHANGES unfolds, it is clear that this is only the beginning of a journey defined by growth, ownership, and rhythm.

We had the privilege of interviewing the Music Artist. Here are excerpts from the interview:
Thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.
Hello! I’m Soléa, an emerging independent artist based in Atlanta and a Music major at Spelman College. I wear many hats—producing, writing, mixing, creating content, booking shows, and leading my band. I’m a vocalist, bassist, and pianist with strong influences in jazz and neo-soul, using my music to bring my stories to life while having fun along the way. Outside of performing, I work as a sound designer for video games and live productions. I’ve contributed as an audio artist on The Sims 4 expansion packs Life & Death, Business & Hobbies, and Adventure Awaits. I’m passionate about all things music and audio.
Please tell us about your journey.
I’ve been singing in school choirs for as long as I can remember. Wanting to explore music more deeply, I started piano lessons at 13 and spent a summer at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp studying piano. During the pandemic, I taught myself bass, and later began producing during my freshman year at Spelman—starting with beat-making before moving into writing and recording my own work. Recently, I had the opportunity to open for Ari Lennox at Spelman’s SpelHouse Neo-Soul homecoming concert. Last year, I released three singles as my introduction to the world. This year marks a new chapter: a more mature, queer, and sensual era of my artistry. My journey is still unfolding, and I’m excited to see where music takes me next.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
One of the biggest lessons behind my growth has been letting go of outside perception. At the end of the day, you can’t control how people receive you—you can only stay true to yourself and keep creating.
