When so many artists are making music, it can be hard to stand out in a sea of digital releases. However, debuting artist and DJ Cole Kadosh has certainly managed to create something not just unique, but deeply powerful and resonant with his debut album.
Bridge the Gap through the Language of Music
Cole Kadosh’s debut album features a unique sense of depth, which can be associated with the artist’s religion and his profound commitment and passion related to spirituality. He draws from his Jewish roots and from ancient traditions of religion and culture that allow him to construct a distinctive album that combines electronic music with Psalms and themes from the Torah. Kadosh’s album is meant to glorify and honor Hashem, and he chooses the language of music to do it.
The artist, raised in the USA, has never lost touch with his origins and has also absorbed many influences from all over the world. Now, he uses his album as a way to build bridges through music, as while not all listeners might share his faith, there are themes and melodies that can reach just about anyone.

A Spiritual Journey
The album takes listeners on a journey. Side A begins with a sense of reflection and introspection with trance-like, meaningful songs that inspire the audience to connect and to let themselves be transported to a spiritual realm.
On Side B, Kadosh amps up the energy and builds momentum that breaks in a spectacular finale with the last track, “Aleph.” The artist titles the songs of his album after letters from the Hebrew alphabet and follows a pattern that helps him bring the listeners into a context of spirituality that comes directly from holy books like the Torah and the Book of Psalms.
Besides daring to do something novel and meaningful, perhaps, even in a way that’s not usual in the industry, the artist also dares to do other things differently. He is releasing the album as a 12-inch vinyl and defies boundaries of genre and conventions for discussing spirituality and for making music in a style that’s been more linked to partying.
The album is anything but shallow. However, in addition to the deep content and messages that Kadosh wants to explore, the musical side of the matter is not slouching either. There is a lot of power to the beats and the compositions, whether they are slower and introspective or fast and full of energy.
At the same time, the spiritual aspects are approached with care and with a sense of awe for the sacred. It is a new take on what spiritual music can be and how it can speak to people from different cultures. Fans of electronic music and followers of Kadosh’s faith, as well as people who have not found their place in either category, are sure to enjoy this powerful debut album.
