Adam Mc Taz’s story begins in the heart of Bradford, where life can feel as tough as the brick walls lining the streets. He grew up in an environment that offered few opportunities, and he often clashed with authority at school. Ultimately, he was expelled, leaving him to carve out his own path. Determined not to be defined by his circumstances, he joined the British Army at 16, serving as a Royal Engineer. Over time, he faced personal hardships, losing his father, brother, and grandfather. These losses only strengthened his resolve to lead a life guided by optimism and a “no excuses” mentality.
Despite these challenges, Adam found moments of joy and self-discovery. When his service ended, he decided to leave the UK to find his footing elsewhere. He settled in Ireland for a spell, traveling alone and gaining fresh perspective on what it meant to stay true to oneself. It was in these reflective moments that his motto, “Live your dream,” took root, guiding him toward a life of self-sufficiency, perseverance, and authenticity.
From Military Routines to European Roadways
Once Adam discovered that long-haul trucking offered the freedom he craved, he didn’t hesitate to shift gears. He became an international truck driver, weaving through the highways of Europe and fueling his ambition with each mile. Posting daily updates and travel stories on social media, he soon found a community of people inspired by his adventures. His Instagram account, @AdamMctasney, grew to over 486,000 followers, with fans drawn to his candid glimpses into life behind the wheel.
This momentum ignited his music career. Long hours spent navigating winding roads served as a backdrop for songwriting, providing ample time to let new ideas flourish. Adam poured his experiences—both triumphs and setbacks—into raw, relatable lyrics. Before he knew it, he was producing tracks that echoed the roar of an engine and the thrill of open highways. It wasn’t just about releasing songs; it was about sharing the real ups and downs of a life spent on the move.
Capturing Life’s Highs and Lows Through Bassline
Adam’s sound can be described as Bassline infused with hard house energy and a hip-hop edge. Originating in the north of England, Bassline combines the speedy pulse of drum and bass with an electrifying dance element that rattles through clubs. Adam takes that framework and amplifies it with his own style, delivering spirited verses that cut through the mix.
Listeners will notice the authenticity in his music right away. Having been featured four times on Rap Fame, he’s carving out a niche as an artist who brings a “say it like it is” attitude to the table. His beats hit hard, his lyrics feel real, and the stories he shares are rooted in actual events—from late-night border crossings to the frustrations of traffic jams and the relief of a truck stop coffee break. By personally overseeing his production, Adam ensures every song captures the nonstop energy and occasional isolation of life on the road.
His story also resonates beyond the music. When faced with negativity, he deflects it with the same determination he uses to conquer Europe’s highways. Instead of giving in to self-doubt, he channels difficult moments into hard-hitting tracks. Fans of his social media content see the daily proof: he’s a humble guy who never lets a challenge stand in his way for long.
Seven Tracks of Pure Momentum
Adam’s first EP is a 7-track whirlwind that paints a vivid picture of international trucking. Each song presents a slice of his everyday reality, starting with “Truckers Anthem,” a celebratory tribute to those who keep the world moving from behind a giant steering wheel. Then, “King of the Road” ramps up the energy and drives home the feeling of conquering mile after mile. “Average Speed Check” dives into the importance of pacing yourself—both literally and metaphorically—while “Positive Vibes” showcases Adam’s upbeat spirit in the face of hurdles.
For fans seeking a jolt of adrenaline, “16 Wheeler Drift” provides a fast-paced rush that captures the intensity of maneuvering a massive rig on twisting roads. “Red Lights” brings listeners into the more frustrating aspects of the job, exploring how sudden stops can throw off a well-planned route. Closing out the EP is “Big Rigs,” a resonant homage to the trucks that have carried him across countless borders. Each track serves as an honest chronicle of Adam’s life, weaving hope, discipline, and personal grit into every lyric. Check out the YouTube playlist here.

We had the privilege of interviewing the Music Artist. Here are excerpts from the interview:
Thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.
Hiya, I’m Adam Mc Taz. I’m an international trucker from Bradford. I live on the road, traveling Europe, influencing positive vibes, and sharing my experiences on social media.
Please tell us about your Music.
My music is my attitude and experiences on the road, from trucking driving to how I deal with negativity and life’s roadblocks. I write songs and produce them with help from a professional team back home.
Please tell us about your journey.
My journey in life was tough. I grew up in a rough estate in Bradford, had no education, and was kicked out of school. I joined the British Army at 16 and served my country as a royal engineer. I lost my dad, my brother, and my granddad, who was my role model. Then, I left the country, moved to Ireland, and started traveling alone; this helped me find myself and become the person I am today. A no-nonsense, positive role model for young people to look up to.
I pride myself on being independent and strong mentally.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
I work hard and live life to the fullest; my motto is Live your dream. I’m very unique and self-motivated.
Any message for our readers
My message to readers is: Never give up doing the things that make you happy; it’s not selfish to put yourself first; my favorite quote is to build a bridge and get over it!
