A Riveting Journey into Humanity’s Future
Sci-fi enthusiasts, mark your calendars—Jeremy Clift’s compelling sequel, Space Vault: The Seed Eclipse, lands June 16, continuing his celebrated Sci-Fi Galaxy series. This captivating novel plunges readers into a turbulent future, exploring profound themes of survival, genetic manipulation, and the essence of identity.
Humanity once saw space as a promise of salvation. Now, it’s become a battlefield. Clift’s latest novel weaves gripping suspense and emotional depth, questioning the very definition of what it means to be human.
At the Edge of Survival
Teagan Ward faces unimaginable odds. Once imprisoned and experimented upon, she escapes with her daughter Diana—a child genetically engineered for deep-space survival. But freedom is fleeting. The powerful Consortium seeks to reclaim Diana, considering her a valuable asset rather than a child.
As Earth suffers ecological collapse and dwindling resources, powerful entities battle fiercely for control over life-sustaining genetic codes housed in the Seed Vault—a critical lunar repository. Yet, the Seed Vault isn’t just a lifeline for humanity’s agriculture; it also harbors disturbing truths about secret genetic experiments and future evolutionary leaps.
Amid chaotic protests and collapsing alliances, Teagan flees to the Tritans, an endangered alien species. In her desperate quest to shield her daughter, Teagan must navigate treacherous alliances, rogue artificial intelligences, and shadowy biotech corporations intent on reshaping humanity.
Questioning the Nature of Life and Identity
Clift expertly merges thrilling narrative with compelling philosophical inquiry. Who holds the rights to genetic codes that determine survival? How should consciousness and DNA be valued in a future driven by technological advancement? Space Vault: The Seed Eclipse challenges readers to contemplate these provocative ethical dilemmas, unraveling complex issues surrounding human identity and bioengineering.
Teagan’s struggle reflects deeper existential questions: if humanity can be re-engineered, what remains of its core essence? Clift tackles these profound themes head-on, driving readers to reflect on not only who we are today, but who we may become tomorrow.
This book doesn’t merely entertain—it engages readers on multiple levels, stimulating thoughtful debate on humanity’s moral choices amidst relentless technological and ecological pressures.
Behind the Vision: Jeremy Clift
Jeremy Clift, a respected science fiction author and former journalist, brings deep insight and international experience to his storytelling. His global career as a Reuters correspondent, coupled with his communication expertise, lends authenticity and urgency to his work.
Inspired by leading voices in sci-fi like Adrian Tchaikovsky, Mary Robinette Kowal, Cixin Liu, and Andy Weir, Clift’s narratives delve deeply into how space exploration will reshape human society over centuries to come.
Clift’s first novel, Born in Space, envisioned humanity’s future through the lens of the first generation born off-Earth, addressing challenges such as childbirth in reduced gravity and psychological impacts of extraterrestrial life. In Space Vault: The Seed Eclipse, he expands on these themes, envisioning humanity at a critical juncture, shaped profoundly by advanced genetics and space colonization.
Exploring the potential emergence of hybrid beings—part human, part robot—Clift underscores humanity’s adaptability and resilience. His storytelling continues to intrigue and provoke, seamlessly blending thoughtful speculation with high-stakes drama.
Space Vault: The Seed Eclipse promises readers an unforgettable journey—filled with rich characters, high tension, and compelling explorations of the future. Clift crafts a narrative that captivates, challenges, and deeply resonates with its audience, prompting them to imagine humanity’s uncertain yet thrilling path forward.

We had the privilege of interviewing the author. Here are excerpts from the interview:
Hi, Thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.
I’m Jeremy Clift, a science fiction author, former journalist, and book publisher, based in Virginia.
A former non-fiction Publisher, I am a communications consultant and writing coach. I’m a graduate of the London School of Economics and the George Washington University, and I’ve lived in a variety of major cities around the world as a Reuters correspondent.
Please tell us about your books.
My inaugural novel, Born in Space, delved into the life of Teagan Ward, a teenager who, after donating her eggs aboard a rotating space habitat, becomes entangled in a battle over seven artificially conceived infants. The story explores themes of motherhood, identity, and humanity’s expansion into space. The just published sequel, Space Vault: The Seed Eclipse, continues this narrative, focusing on corporate dominance, the ethical implications of space colonization, and the future of human freedom.
“Space Vault: The Seed Eclipse” is the second part of my Sci-fi Galaxy series about the colonization of space through habitats and the exploitation of celestial bodies, including asteroids and the moon.
Please tell us about your journey.
My career began in journalism, reporting for Reuters and later serving as a non-fiction publisher at an international organization. Over time, I transitioned into fiction writing, channeling my experiences and interests into speculative narratives about space and humanity’s future. A fan of Adrian Tchaikovsky, Mary Robinette Kowal, Cixin Liu, and Andy Weir, I am keenly interested in how space exploration and artificial intelligence will change humanity over the next 200 years.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Attending writers’ conferences like 20BooksTo50K provided invaluable insights into self-publishing and the importance of writing a series. Additionally, my background in journalism honed my research skills, allowing me to build believable and compelling sci-fi worlds.
Any message for our readers?
I hope my stories inspire readers to ponder the ethical and emotional dimensions of humanity’s venture into space. As we stand on the cusp of becoming an interplanetary species, it’s crucial to reflect on what it means to be human and how our choices shape our destiny.
Thank you so much, Jeremy, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
