‘Mom, I Wanna Know You Better…’ by Bob Allen Kroll Is More Than a Journal—It’s a Treasure

Unveiling a Mother’s Story: A Journal That Speaks from the Heart

There’s a quiet strength behind every mother’s love—a lifetime of moments, both ordinary and unforgettable. Mom, I Wanna Know You Better…A Mother’s Journal of Love to Her Child, created by Bob Allen Kroll, captures that strength and transforms it into something tangible. This is not your average keepsake. It’s a deeply personal journal designed to give mothers the space to share their journey, memories, and emotions—one thoughtful question at a time.

This book is a gentle reminder that within every mother lies a story worth preserving. And for children, it becomes a window into the heart of the woman who’s always been there—supporting, sacrificing, and loving through every chapter of life.

More Than Memories—A Conversation Across Generations

The heart of this journal lies in its purpose: to help mothers express their experiences in a way that’s intimate and lasting. Through over 300 unique prompt questions, Mom, I Wanna Know You Better… offers mothers a chance to slow down and reflect. Each question invites her to look back on the path she’s walked, the values she holds close, and the lessons she’s learned along the way.

These aren’t generic prompts. They’ve been crafted to explore both the joys and the challenges of motherhood. From the tender beginnings of raising a child to the evolving bond as years go by, this journal captures it all—without demanding eloquence or perfection. It simply asks mothers to be themselves. Honest. Reflective. Loving.

And when the journal is complete? It’s a gift like no other. A handwritten legacy of warmth and wisdom—ready to be passed down and treasured.

A Journal That Turns Love into Legacy

It’s easy to forget just how much mothers carry. From sleepless nights and school lunches to life lessons and unconditional support—they’ve seen it all. Yet so much of their story goes unspoken. That’s what makes Mom, I Wanna Know You Better… so special. It gives mothers a voice, in their own words, to share the parts of themselves that might never come up in everyday conversation.

For the child receiving this journal, the impact is profound. It becomes a source of comfort, insight, and connection—especially during times when they need their mother’s presence the most. Her handwriting, her words, her reflections… all right there, waiting to be read and re-read.

This is more than a gift. It’s a love letter. A time capsule. A chance to hold on to a mother’s spirit long after the stories have been written.

Final Reflections

With its combination of heartfelt prompts, thoughtful design, and emotional depth, Mom, I Wanna Know You Better… is a standout in the world of journals. It doesn’t aim to be flashy or trendy—it aims to be meaningful. And in doing so, it becomes something truly priceless.

Thanks to Bob Allen Kroll’s thoughtful vision, mothers everywhere have the opportunity to share their journey in a way that will never fade. And children, in turn, receive something rare: the story of their mother’s love, written just for them.

We had the privilege of interviewing Bob Allen Kroll. Here are excerpts from the interview.

Hi Bob, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share about yourself with our readers.

Hi, I am an author and speaker on the topics of marriage and family. I grew up in Wisconsin and currently reside there with my wife of 30 years, Christine, and we have four boys, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren. I believe in the necessity of strong and loving families as the foundation for a better world.

Please tell us about your book.

‘Mom, I Wanna Know You Better…’ is a beautiful journal for mothers to share their lives with their children. There are over 300 prompt questions for Mom to express her thoughts, joys, trials, and triumphs. Once the journal is finished, Mom can present to her child/children as a wonderful keepsake for all time.

Please share your journey with our readers.

I grew up in central Wisconsin on a dairy farm. I was the oldest of nine children. My parents suffered from alcoholism, and sadly, my siblings and I suffered from a lot of verbal, emotional, and physical abuse. As I grew into adulthood, I found a way to forgive my parents and helped them turn their lives around. I have a wonderful relationship with them now, and I desire all parents and children to establish – or reestablish – a great relationship with their mother and father. This book will help with that.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

I have a strong relationship with God, and that has made all the difference.

Any message for our readers?

To have a great relationship with your father and mother is a desire we all have within our hearts. Our parents do the best with what they have, and their struggles are real and difficult sometimes. As children, I hope we can all find a way to forgive our parents if we need to and live with greater peace and joy. This book and my similar book for dads, “Dad, I Wanna Know You Better…” may help in strengthening relationships.

Thank you so much, Bob, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
