In a society that often prescribes how women should think, act, and feel, Carmen Queen’s debut book, Be You. Do You. For You., emerges as a refreshing guide that empowers women to embrace their authentic selves. This insightful work is more than just a book; it’s an interactive journey that encourages women to step into their power, prioritize their well-being, and live life on their own terms.
Navigating Mental Health and Finding Inner Peace
Mental health challenges affect a significant portion of women worldwide, with approximately 20% experiencing issues like depression or anxiety each year. Recognizing this, Queen’s book serves as a compassionate companion for those seeking to improve their mental well-being. She doesn’t shy away from addressing the tough questions; instead, she provides a safe space for readers to acknowledge their struggles and explore the root causes behind them.
Through engaging journal prompts and thoughtful exercises, the book guides readers to introspect and identify patterns that may be hindering their happiness. Queen’s approach is holistic, encouraging women to not only understand their mental health challenges but also to develop personalized strategies for healing. By fostering self-awareness, she helps readers pave a path toward inner peace and emotional resilience.
Celebrating Self-Worth and Crafting Your Own Blueprint
Amid the hustle and bustle of daily life—balancing careers, household responsibilities, relationships, and possibly parenting—women often neglect their own needs and desires. Queen poses a pivotal question: When was the last time you created an experience solely for yourself, one that catered to your every wish and left no detail unattended?
In Be You. Do You. For You., she emphasizes the importance of putting oneself first and celebrating personal achievements, no matter how small. The book encourages women to reflect inward, rediscover their passions, and design a life that truly reflects who they are. Queen provides practical tools for readers to develop a personalized life blueprint, empowering them to make conscious choices that align with their authentic selves.
Her message is clear: life is not a dress rehearsal. Time is precious, and women deserve to live lives that are fulfilling and true to themselves. By embracing self-worth and taking intentional steps toward personal goals, readers can transform their dreams into reality.
A Journey Filled with Wit, Wisdom, and Personal Stories
What makes this book particularly engaging is Queen’s relatable and conversational writing style. She shares her own raw and personal stories, offering a candid look into her journey toward self-actualization. Her wit and straightforward advice make complex concepts accessible, and her honesty fosters a genuine connection with readers.
The book feels like a heart-to-heart conversation with a trusted friend who isn’t afraid to tell it like it is. Queen tackles central questions about identity, purpose, and fulfillment, guiding readers to confront the reasons they may feel stuck in unfulfilling lives. She doesn’t just highlight the problems; she provides actionable solutions and step-by-step guidance to help readers make meaningful changes.
The inclusion of interactive elements, such as journals and assignments, keeps readers actively engaged in their personal growth journey. These tools serve as checkpoints, allowing readers to track their progress and stay focused on their transformation.

Hi Carmen, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share about yourself with our readers.
A businesswoman of 20 years specializing in public speaking, a former franchisee, and an MBA candidate, I have built a successful career in marketing and psychology, specializing in knowing exactly how to deliver information to wide audiences that motivate, either in sales or life goals. I love nothing more than speaking about these types of things and building an audience from the ground up. I am now shifting my focus from the business and speaking world to the world of self-help and am looking to make a lasting impact on people, as I believe we all have a rendezvous with destiny.
Please tell us about your book, Be You. Do You. For You.
In language that feels like the reader is sitting across the coffee shop table from a friend, we tackle the central questions of who we are, what we want to be, and why we wind up in ultimately untargeted and unfulfilling lives–and, critically, how exactly to answer them. I incorporate stories from my own life and insightful journal entries and make an impossible process feel both hugely important and immensely simple. Step-by-step guides and blueprints help readers form a mission statement and blueprint for their lives and follow the reader as a companion through every step of their life turnaround. In the end, the reader is transformed into who they were born to be—or at least, they’ve begun that journey. And these pages are right there with them like a friend, holding their hair back when it gets tough and holding their hand through the rest.
Please tell us about your journey.
A little hood, a lot of universe. Embracing the unexpected of a developmentally disabled brother, abandonment of a parent, obstacles seemingly insurmountable and handed to me before I could even walk. Turning those obstacles into opportunities. Faking it until I made it. Letting go where I could. Realizing what I DO want in life as opposed to what I SHOULD want. Defining who and what I am, not what society told me to be. Befriending my flaws and utilizing my strengths. Creating a mission statement for my life. Of what my story was going to be, not allowing for the circumstances to define me.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Formulating a blueprint of my life. Who am I? What do I want to be? What are some areas of opportunities for me? Knowing those elements and going after exactly that. Elements that aren’t that? Simply letting them go and moving on. Comprising small and impactful goals for myself that compound over time, ultimately leading to larger self-fulfilling goals. Doing things that scare me for the betterment of myself. If I fail, that’s ok. I tried, but it is still a win. Looking in the mirror, being proud of who I am, knowing who I am, and on days not so much? Holding myself accountable.
