We had the privilege of interviewing Marek Puchon. Here are excerpts from the interview.
Hi Marek, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share about yourself with our readers.
Hello, I’m originally from Slovakia. I now live with my family in the Netherlands. I have always had a mind full of stories that I’d like to share, but I wasn’t a popular child, and it wasn’t even so easy back then. So, as I got older and now with my kids, I’m trying to give the world a piece of my amazing mind in the form of stories. Some are sad, some are deep, but all of them are amazing. So if you go with me through memoirs uncovering secrets of terrible societies, or we try to save people in the depths of space among millions of stars, or try to find the forgotten pyjama of little Gill, it will always have something amazing that you will never forget.
What inspired you to take up writing?
As I am trying to manage my work, my passion to create and spend time with my kids is always a balance. I want to be able to spend more time with my kids! As an author of books, I can do this. I can finally accomplish my dream and do work that I love, and most importantly, I can share with you, and you can have the pleasure of amazing stories, too. It will bring more than peace and love into your life.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
My success stems from relentless dedication to research for world building, a strong focus on character-driven narrative that highlights emotional depth and relationships, and sheer perseverance through the complex process of writing a multi-book series with expansive themes.
